WELCOME TO STELLER PSYCHOLOGY

My name is Dr. Veronica Steller, and as a licensed psychologist, I specialize in working with adults who have complex psychiatric and medical issues, such as post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, panic disorders, psychological trauma, physical trauma, chronic pain, and cancer. With my expertise in health psychology, I help clients understand how many factors influence and affect one’s physical well-being, mental health, and illness.  


I have expertise in treating emotional dysregulation resulting from complex trauma, substance use issues and relapse prevention, as well as grief/loss, and end-of-life issues, both for the patient and their family members. 


I understand the many difficulties we face in life, and I empathize with your struggle to overcome these challenges. Using evidence-based methods, I provide personalized treatment plans that address your unique needs. Whether you need individual psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and/or consultation/collaborative care, I am here to support you on your healing journey.

NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT

Quality cognitive and psychoeducational assessments, as well as pre-surgical bariatric evaluations. Testing for ADHD, Personality, Learning Disability, and Intelligence is offered. Services and cost range are determined by the complexity of the evaluation. A portion of the assessment is conducted outside face-to-face hours for analysis and reporting.

 Psychodynamic therapy focuses on unconscious processes as they are manifested in the client's present behavior. The goals of psychodynamic therapy are client self-awareness and understanding of the influence of the past on present behavior. Therapist and client relationship is key.

  • Individual: $250/session (50-minute)
  • Couples: $350/session (50-minute)

  

While Steller Psychology does not accept insurance, a sliding scale may be offered for those who qualify.

Assessment

  • Neuropsychological Testing is billed at hourly rate ($250/60m).
  • Report writing billed hourly.
  • Total Assessment cost varies and can range from $1,200-$2,500

I hold a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology and have completed extensive training in a variety of evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance-commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive-processing therapy (CPT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and mindfulness-based therapies. 


I work with adult individuals, 18+ age-range.


I specialize in treating trauma-related disorders, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and complex health-related issues. 


No, I am considered an out-of-network provider. I collect my fees at the time of service, and should you wish, I will be happy to provide you will a detailed receipt you may submit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement, or to be applied to deductible.


To determine if you have mental health coverage with out of network providers, the first thing you should do is check with your insurance carrier. Find answers to the following questions: What are my mental health benefits? What is the coverage amount per therapy session? How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?


Yes. Due to licensure laws,  I can only provide therapy when you are physically in a location in which I hold an active license or a state that is part of PSYPACT. As a PSYPACT provider, I have Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology, allowing me to see clients virtually in most states.
